Walker competed in the Section 2AAA decathlon at Cookeville High School from April 13-14 and finished first in the event. Walker and teammates Austin Heath and Chase Trigg competed in the boys decathlon with Payton Dearing competing in the girls pentathlon on April 13 at the same venue. Walker’s first-place performance netted him an automatic berth to the Class AAA state decathlon scheduled for May 13-14 at the University of Tennessee.
