Huntland School was under a temporary lockdown at around noon today as a safety precaution when law enforcement authorities were involved in handling a nearby domestic dispute, according to Sheriff’s Office reports.

Principal Lisa Crabtree said Huntland’s school resource officer was monitoring the situation.

“We secured the perimeter of the campus and waited for clearance from law enforcement that all was clear,” she said. “The school was never in danger, but just for safety of the school, students and personnel due to proximity, we secured the perimeter.”
