The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 53-year-old woman whose body was found at about 10 a.m. today along Lightfoot Lane, according to a press release.

She was identified as Portia Duncan of Winchester.

Ms. Duncan’s body was taken to the Southern Tennessee Regional Health System hospital in Winchester where an autopsy was ordered.

The Sheriff’s Office says that more details will be released as the investigation continues.
