The Franklin County Rebelettes lost to the Tullahoma Lady Wildcats 12-1 on the road Monday for their ninth loss of the season.

The Rebelettes fell behind early in the contest and weren’t able to produce much offense the rest of the way as they took their seventh straight loss.

The Rebelettes scored their lone run of the day in the top of the first when Madi Taylor hit into an RBI groundout to score Paislie Edge from third.

The Lady Wildcats answered back quickly with four runs in the bottom of the first to take a 4-1 lead.

The Rebelettes put runners into scoring position in the second and third innings, but they weren’t able to turn those scoring opportunities into any runs.

The Lady Wildcats scored two more runs in the bottom of the third to grow the deficit to 6-1, and a six-run fourth inning by Tullahoma put the Rebelettes behind by double digits.

The Rebelettes weren’t able to push any runs across in the top of the fifth as they lost by 11.

With the loss, the Rebelettes moved to 1-9 on the season.

They will next play Friday in a pair of games at Crockett Park for the Brentwood Invitational. They are scheduled to play Blackman High School at 5:30 p.m. and Fairview High School at 8:30 p.m.
