In leading up to Memorial Day, the American Legion Community Band will perform in a 2 p.m. Saturday concert in front of Franklin County High School on Bypass Road.

The band will play military marches and hymns honoring deceased veterans as Memorial Day approaches.

Some of the selections include “Yankee Doodle,” “Black Granite March,” “An Americana Tribute” and many others.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the music while deceased veterans are simultaneously being honored.

Also, anyone wishing to become a Community Band member is encouraged to talk to Director Tom Isbell.
