Class on Genesis

Food giveaway

Christ the King Anglican Church, 1231 Cumberland St., Decherd, in association with Feed America First, will distribute groceries to help alleviate the immediate needs of those experiencing food insecurity in the community on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please remain in vehicles.

A Vacation Bible School for all ages will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at Cowan church of Christ.

Singing

Huntland Missionary Baptist Church, 306 Alabama Street, Huntland, will hold a singing featuring The Askew Family on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. A meal will follow.

July 17

Wings of Hope picnic

Wings of Hope Widows Ministry invites all widows to a picnic on Monday at noon at the picnic shelter across the street from Red Roof Pavilion in Winchester City Park. Wear patriotic colors and enjoy barbecue, potato salad and cookies. For information, call 931-636-4359.

Hamburger supper

Everyone is invited to Goshen Cumberland Presbyterian Church’s annual hamburger supper on July 22 from 5-7 p.m. at 1262 Williams Cove Road, Winchester. Enjoy grilled burgers, baked beans, chips, homemade ice cream and desserts. Proceeds are for CP Women’s Ministry.

Interdenominational Bible study

All women are invited to join in for Bible Study Fellowship International to study the Gospel of John on Sept. 12 at 9:30 a.m. at Winchester First United Methodist Church, 100 South Jefferson St., Winchester. This is an interdenominational event joining thousands of groups that will be meeting in more than 120 counties. Registration is required online by pulling up Bible Study Fellowship International.
