Rebel golfers notch team victory at Pebble Creek

The Franklin County High School boys and girls golf teams competed in a nine-hole match Wednesday at the Pebble Creek Golf Club against the teams of Lincoln County High School.
The Rebels recorded a team win on the boys side of the match with their total score of 165 beating the Lincoln County Falcons by 10 strokes.
Brody Metcalf led the Rebels for the match and recorded the lowest score of any of the individual boys with a mark of 38 for the day.
Chase Towry was next up for the Rebels with a score of 41, and Jackson Lynch and Brady Hall both shot scores of 43 to round out the team portion of the match for Franklin County.
The remaining individual boys golfers for the Rebels and their scores for the day were Easton Walker, 44; Evan Lynch, 46; Garrett Patterson, 47; Corbin Morris 57; and Hayden Terry, 68.
On the girls side, the Rebelettes took a loss to the Lady Falcons with their group score of 98 putting them a decent amount by the Lady Falcons’ mark of 80.
Amelia Maxon shot a score of 47 for the match, and Savana Pendergraff followed with a score of 51 to round out the overall scoring.
The FCHS boys and girls golf teams will next compete Wednesday in a nine-hole match at the Bear Trace at Tims Ford against the teams of Shelbyville Central and Lincoln County.
