The Franklin County Rebelettes lost to the Lincoln County Lady Falcons in straight sets on the road Tuesday in a quarterfinal game for the District 9AAA tournament.

The seventh-seeded Rebelettes were unable to take a set from the second-seeded Lady Falcons as the loss eliminated them from the district bracket and ended their season.

The lead changed hands a few times early in the opening set before the Lady Falcons ended the frame on a 16-7 run for a 25-16 victory to start the day.

A run of eight straight points by the Lady Falcons early in the second set put the Rebelettes in a 10-4 hole, and the deficit remained steady the rest of the way as another 25-16 loss for the set put the Rebelettes behind by a 2-0 margin overall.

The Lady Falcons closed out the third set with a 13-4 run to pull away once more as a 25-12 defeat for the frame sealed the loss for the Rebelettes.

With the loss, the Rebelettes ended their season with a record of 5-20.
