The Franklin County Health Department, located at 266 Joyce Lane in Winchester, is now providing free flu vaccines to the public from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. No appointment is needed.

Fundraiser for Animal Harbor

Join in the fun tonight from 5-9 p.m. during the Jordan’s Way fundraiser for Animal Harbor, located at 56 Nor-Nan Road in Winchester. Host of Christmas Past

The 31st annual Host of Christmas Past will be held Friday and Saturday on the Lincoln County Courthouse lawn. Friday hours are 5-8 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Christmas Market

A Christmas Market will be held at the Manchester Arts Center, 128 East Main Street, Manchester, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Veterans Day program

A Veterans Day program will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Franklin County Farmers Market Pavilion located on Dinah Shore Boulevard in Winchester.

Veteran’s tribute dinner

The Townsend Cultural Center will host its first veteran’s tribute dinner on Saturday from 5-8 p.m. at 913 South Shepherd Street in Winchester. For information, call 931-280-0861.

Veterans Day meal

Food City in Winchester is offering a free meal for all military veterans on Saturday from its deli hot bar.

Veterans Day color run

A Veteran’s Day color run will be held Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at Tims Ford State Park. The event includes a 5K and 1-mile fun run.  The race starts at 10 a.m. Meet at Picnic Road.

Nov. 11-12

Turkey shoots

The Estill Springs Lions Club will hold turkey shoots Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. at 308 Rock Creek Road (just off Hwy. 41A) in Estill Springs. Shells will be provided and must be used. Only standard hunting guns are permitted. Cost is $5 for rounds for turkeys, hams and cash prizes. Concessions will be available.

Veterans Day parade

A Veterans Day parade will be held Sunday beginning at noon in downtown Winchester.

Free childbirth class

A free childbirth class for expecting parents will be given on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Southern Tennessee Employee Development Center, 1397 South College Street, Winchester.

Memorial event

Friends of the Library of Sewanee: The University of the South invites everyone to attend the sixth annual Tom G. Watson Memorial on Monday at 4:30 p.m. in the Torian Room of the Jessie Ball DuPont Library. Geoffrey Ward, university organist and choirmaster, will share information about the University Choir.

The South Central Human Resource Agency Head Start/Early Head Start Policy Council meets on Nov. 16 at 10:30 a.m. at the SCHRA central office in Fayetteville.

Winter expo

Everyone is invited to a winter expo on Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Franklin County Senior Citizen Center located at 74 Clover Dr. in Winchester.
