FLETCHER MCCRARY JR.
MCCRARY, Fletcher Talley, Jr., age 80, of Estill Springs, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, at St. Thomas West in Nashville. Fletcher was born on June 2, 1943, in Winchester, Tennessee, to the late Fletcher Talley and Adene (Boyd) McCrary, Sr. He was a veteran of the United State Air Force and retired as a self-employed machinist. Fletcher loved boating, college football and repairing and restoring old cars. He loved listening to all kinds of music especially old county and jazz and blues. Fletcher will be remembered as a kind, generous person who never met a stranger. He was happiest spending time with family and his friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Yancey McCrary; siblings, Donald McCrary, Annette Endy, Shirly Long and two infant siblings; niece, Michelle Evans; and nephew, James Long. Fletcher is survived by his loving daughter, Shannon (Jeff) Patton; grandchildren, Corey (Katy) Patton and Collin Patton; special granddaughter, Hope Franklin; sister, Daphine (Guy) Thompson; nieces, Tammy Henley, Jennifer (Steve) Robinson and Vicky Smith; and nephews, David McCrary, Michael McCrary and Paul Endy. ISBELL, Joanna Elaine Liechty, age 82, of Christiana, passed away on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, while surrounded by her loving family. Joanna was born on July 4, 1941, in Winchester, Tennessee, to the late Orin and Addie Lee (Robertson) Liechty. She was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed sewing, gardening and reading historical and mystery novels. On rainy days you could find her watching British TV shows. Joanna was a member of the Winchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Isbell and brother, Robert Liechty. Joanna is survived by her daughters, Mary Lee Isbell and Susanna (Kevin) Beard; grandsons, Robert Huffer and Michael Huffer; granddaughter, Meghan (Ben) Jonakin; sister, Patricia Warmbrod; and many loved nieces and nephews. CHARLOTTE MAY
MAY, Charlotte Anne, age 71, departed from this life on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, from an unexpected illness. She was born on Jan. 15, 1952, in Winchester Tennessee, to the late Albert and Gladys Gipson. Charlotte worked in the clothing manufacturing industry as an office manager at Stewman Fashions in Elora, Tennessee, for 20 years, where she retired in 1998. She loved to go on vacations with her kids and grandkids and she also was a faithful volunteer at Camp Rain in Alto Tennessee, serving in the kitchen for the last eight summers. Additionally, she was a dedicated member of the Journey Community Church in Winchester for more than 30 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Charles Gipson and June Stewman. Charlotte is survived by the love of her life, Terry Lee May, whom she was married to for 53 years; sisters, Barbara Bradshaw and Janis (Don) Brantley; sons, Kelly (Jessica) May and Joshua (Jenny Ann) May; and daughters, Melanie (Clint) Morrow and Kelsie (Hunter) Repasky. She absolutely adored her grandchildren, Alanna Morrow, Kaleigh (Maddux) Tucker, Braeden Morrow, Jocy May and Jayden May. She will be loved and missed by many nieces, nephews and special friends. She also leaves behind the most precious dog, Jasper. Charlotte’s life was a living example of Jesus Christ. If she were here today she would urge you to accept Jesus as your Savior. SUSAN SHERRILL
SHERRILL, Susan Lindsey, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at the age of 66, while surrounded by her family. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Rhena Lindsey and step-son, Scott Sherrill. Susan is survived by her loving husband, Parker Sherrill; son, Michael Tuck (Mary); daughter, Renee Tuck; grandchildren, Reagan, Lizzie, Kyla, Jackson, Brenden and Sebastian; step-son, Rob Sherrill (Kristy); daughter-in-law, Bri Sherrill; brother, Robert Lindsey (Janet) of Arlington, Tennessee; three nephews; and sister-in-law, Margaret Ruof. Susan was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and then eventually moved to Nashville in 1992. Susan went back to school later in life and attended Middle Tennessee State University and Tennessee State University where she received her degree in occupational therapy. After graduation, she worked as an occupational therapist at Centennial Medical Center and then went on to obtain her Advanced Certification in Lymphedema, which she was extremely passionate about and specialized in for the remainder of her career. Susan cherished her family and friends and loved spending time with them, both in Nashville and at their lake house. She loved to travel and experience new things along her journey. Susan had a beautiful spirit that was contagious and left a lasting impression on anyone she ever met. She was a loving wife and an amazing mother and grandmother, as well as a caring and loyal friend and will be forever missed by so many. She was a dedicated supporter of St. Lukes Community House and volunteered her time over the years. The family is sincerely grateful to the doctors and staff at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center for their care and support over the past years. NEWTON, Keith Eugene, age 54, of Decherd, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2023, at Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton after a brief, hard battle of esophageal cancer. Keith was born on Jan. 30, 1969, at Fort Jackson Military Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, to the late Horace L. “Jim” Newton and Patricia J. “Trish” (Adams) Smith. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he had been stationed at Hunter Armory Airfield in Savannah, Georgia. Keith later became employed with Tech Tank, now known as CST Storage, where he currently worked in the administrative department. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and in his younger years raced motorcycles at Road Atlanta. In his spare time you could find him watching The Final Countdown and TV shows about restoring old cars, but spending quality time with his family and his cats meant the most to him. Keith will be remembered as a loving husband and father; he enjoyed the simple things in life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James R. “Booty” Douglas. HARRISON, Wayne Darin, 56 of Lynchburg, died Oct. 31, 2023. Survivors: parents, Wayne and Carolyn Harrison; wife, Lynn Harrison; daughters, Angela (Nick) Buckman and Dawn (Lee) Millaway; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Addayson, Lane, Emalee, Mackenzie and Lylah. LILLIE CLARK
CLARK, Lillie Mae Warren, age 91, of Winchester, Tennessee, departed this life at her residence with her loving family at her side, on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023. She was born in Winchester, Tennessee on June 7, 1932. Mrs. Clark was a homemaker. She was a member of the Winchester First Baptist Church and last attended the Cowan First Baptist Church. When she was younger, she was one of many Crimson Clover queens. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Farris Chapel Home Demonstration Club for many years. She made many, many quilts during her lifetime for her family and enjoyed crocheting as well. She was known for her talent for cooking, especially her sourdough bread and cinnamon rolls, She was also a blue ribbon winner many times with her canning. Loving to cook, she worked in her vegetable garden every year up until two years ago when she was told she needed to give that up due to her health. She still enjoyed watching her birds and squirrels in her yard. Mrs. Clark and her late husband of approximately, 62 years, Robert M. Clark, Jr. would enter seven or eight of their international tractors for the Cowan Christmas Parade and different family members would drive the tractors so the grandchildren could throw out the candy; this was an exciting event for them every year with a lot of happy memories. Mrs. Clark will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Warren Bradford; her husband, Robert M. Clark, Jr.; and granddaughter, Sabrina Clark. She is survived by her daughter, Shelia Lee and husband, Kenneth; sons, Mark Clark and wife, Kim, Michael Clark and wife, Lucinda and Marty Clark and wife, Stacy, all of Winchester; grandchildren, Shaun (Bea) Clark of Estill Springs, Kenny (Sarah) Lee of Decherd, Kristal (Trevan)Rose of Pulaski, Tennessee, Derikk Clark, Bailey Clark and Kyler Clark, of Winchester; step-grandchildren, Kaley (Jamie) Benson of Cookeville and Brandon and Drew Hester of Winchester; and eight great-grandchildren. A private graveside service was held on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Chaplin, Jerry Stewart, officiating, where she was laid to rest beside her beloved Robert. A private visitation was held prior to the service at Grant Funeral Services Chapel.

KNAUB, Tanya Renee, age 48, of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, at Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She was born in Paterson, New Jersey, on Feb. 15, 1975. A proud veteran, Tanya served her country for five-and-a-half years in the United States Air Force. She had been employed as an auditor in human services for the State of Tennessee. A talented craftsman, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and drawing as well as playing the piano and dulcimer. Tanya also enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be kayaking or riding motorcycles. She was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship in Tullahoma and was very dedicated to her Christian faith and loved reading the Bible. Tanya was preceded in death by her father, Edward Dragovich. She is survived by her loving husband of over 26 years, Stacy Knaub; sons, Ryan Knaub (Hannah Melson) and Tory Knaub (Aliyah Martin); mother, Shirley (Glenn) McKerley; brother, Marc (Stacy) Dragovich; nephew, Alaric Clark; niece, Katya Clark; and nephew, Christian Dragovich. EVANS, Lucy Lois, age 94, of Winchester, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System. Lois was born on May 20, 1929, in Jackson County, Alabama, to the late Curt and Annie Lucy (Warren) Avans. A dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed singing, sewing quilts, reading, coloring and tending to her flowers. Lois was a faithful member of the Winchester Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lindbirg Evans; daughter, Henrietta Wills; son-in-law, Paul McGill; and siblings, Jobe, Clark, Charlie, Albert, Willie, Pearl, Edith, Leona and Flossie. Lois is survived by her loving children, Ray (Shirley) Evans, Howard (Debbie) Evans, Jeraldine (Tom) McBee, Regina McGill and Jackie (Tami) Evans; son-in-law, Cliff Wills; grandchildren, Wanda, Donna, Danny, Aimee, Johnny, Angie, Rusty, Charity, DeWayne, Lanise, Michael, Chad, Deven, Grant, Scott and Mandy; 42 great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. CHARLES BLEVINS
BLEVINS, Charles Hoyt, age 81, died on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023. He was born on March 24, 1942, in Jackson County, Alabama. Raised as a Southern Baptist, Charles eventually became a member of the Goshen Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He loved talking to friends and seldom met strangers. “Have a good day and a better tomorrow,” would usually finish his conversations. He was a man who believed that it didn’t matter where you came from, it is where you are going and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. Charles retired as a machinist at Arnold Air Force Base (AEDC) and throughout his career he was also associated with Wilton Manufacturing, SESSCO and Genesco. Known by his family as a “Jack of all trades,” he also cattle farmed and refurbished homes for rental property. His passions in his younger years included water skiing, hunting, fishing and fabricating cars and dune buggies. Four-wheeling in the mountains and 10-mile bike rides were also activities that he enjoyed. He also loved visiting with his elders, cherishing the knowledge they passed along. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Margie Mantooth Limbaugh and Chester Conley Limbaugh and Marvin Clark, who played a significant part in his life during his teenage years; his mother and father-in-law, Ruby Floyd Denney and Jack Denney; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Marie (Lee) Earp, Lee Pinnell and Marvin Clark; and niece, Renee Pinnell. Charles is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen Denney Blevins and their son, Troy (Rhonda) Blevins. Also surviving is his granddaughter, Heather Welch; great-grandchildren, Levi and Lexi Grigsby; brother, James (Jerry) Blevins; sister-in-law Betty Pinnell; brothers-in-law Don and Roy Denney; and a host of nieces and nephew.
