Lady Trojans’ offense stifled by Coffee County

The South Middle School Lady Trojans lost to the Coffee County Lady Raiders 50-1 at home Thursday for their fourth loss of the season.

The Lady Trojans weren’t able to get any shots to fall from the field in the contest as the Lady Raiders handed them a decisive defeat.

The Lady Raiders were in complete control from the opening moments of the game as they quickly pulled ahead by more than 20 points.

The Lady Trojans trailed 22-0 after one quarter.

Zoe Cole hit a free throw for the Lady Trojans in the second quarter which proved to be the only point of the day for South.

They trailed 30-1 at halftime.

The Lady Raiders continued to pull further away in the second half as they led 44-1 after three quarters and went on to beat the Lady Trojans by 49 points.

With the loss, the Lady Trojans moved to 2-4 on the season.

They will next play Monday at home against Harris Middle School. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
