Memorial Day service to be held at Franklin Memorial Gardens
Everyone is invited to the annual Memorial Day service on Monday at 10 a.m. at Franklin Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum on Cowan Highway in Winchester. Promoting the event are, from left, Bobby Clark, U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran and Veterans Services officer; Sgt. 1st Class (E-7) Mike Foster, retired U.S. Army Gulf War veteran and Memorial Day event organizer; Col. Clinton Williams, retired U.S. Army veteran; Michelle Stovall, Franklin County Veterans Services officer; Sgt. Maj. (E-9) Larry E. Williams, retired U.S. Army and DAV member; Lt. Col. (O-5) Beri Fraley, Iraq veteran and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1893 commander; Tom Isbell, U.S. Army veteran and American Legion Post 44 commander; and John Matthews, U.S. Air Force veteran and DAV Chapter 71 commander. The event is sponsored by DAV Chapter 71, VFW Post 1893 and Franklin County American Legion Post 44.
