Obituary- Ronald Frazier Sr.

RONALD FRAZIER SR.

FRAZIER, Ronald Gerald, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the age of 84. Born in Cleveland, TN, he was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and served in the United States Navy. He had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1979. He was a civil engineer and retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as chief of real estate. He later worked as a substitute teacher before completely retiring. He was a member of the American Legion and the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Inez Frazier; his wife Paulette Frazier; a brother, Lowell Frazier; and a sister, Marlene Fugatt. Survivors include two sons, Ronald G. Frazier Jr. “Gerald” (Shannon) and Steve Frazier; a daughter, Kristy Leist (Steve); seven grandchildren, Adam Frazier, Kyle Frazier (Taylor), Tristen Frazier, Brandon Leist, Leslie Walker (Robert), Alyssa Grigsby (Gavin) and Logan Leist; seven great-grandchildren, Eli Frazier, Skyler Frazier, Jayde Frazier, Griffin Walker, Garrett Walker, Peyton Bryant and Brooklynn Kate Davis; and three brothers, Larry Frazier (Shirley), Lonnie Frazier (Judith) and Terry Frazier (Susan). A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.
