FC track advances 31 to sectionals

M embers of the Franklin County High School boys and girls track and field teams competed in a sub-sectional meet on April 28 at Rhea County High School.

The top four finishers in each event advanced to the Section 2AAA meet with 31 Franklin County tracksters meeting that qualifying standard across 26 events for the day.

In the group standings, the Franklin County girls finished second out of six teams with 142 points for the meet. Walker Valley took the top spot over Franklin County by just 3.33 points.

The Franklin County boys also finished second out of six teams for the meet with 156 points as Cookeville beat them by five in the final standings.
