A grocery distribution will be held on Nov. 11 starting at 9 a.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis at Christ the King Anglican Church, located at 1231 Cumberland St., Decherd. Remain in vehicles.

Community Thanksgiving service
The Cowan Ministerial Association invites everyone to the annual Community Thanksgiving Service on Nov. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Cowan Church of the Nazarene, 221 Cumberland Street West, Cowan. Rev. L.Z. Johnson will be the speaker and the host church will lead in music and song.

Community Thanksgiving dinner
931Cares is partnering with The Table in Cowan and Winchester First United Methodist Church to welcome everyone (those who are too tired to cook, can’t cook or feel it’s too expensive to cook) to a community Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, from noon to 4 p.m. You may eat at Winchester First United Methodist Church, 100 South Jefferson Street, Winchester, or at The Table, 106 Rogers Street, Cowan. 931Cares will also deliver plates to those in need. If you know of a person in need, please email 931Cares@gmail.com and provide the name, address and number of meals needed (no other information will be requested).
