Gators’ offense falters in loss at West

The North Middle School Gators lost to the West Bobcats 39-6 on the road Thursday for their fourth loss of the season.

The Gators were held scoreless for the last three quarters of the game as the Bobcats completely pulled away from them in the second half.

The Gators fell behind early in the game with a 3-pointer at the buzzer from the Bobcats making it a three-possession game early.

North trailed 13-6 after one quarter.

The Gators allowed just four total points in the second quarter, but they were shut out on the other end of the court as the deficit grew to double digits.

They trailed 17-6 at halftime.

The Gators were unable to end their offensive drought in the third or fourth quarters as the Bobcats led 26-6 going into the final period and went on to give North a 33-point loss.

Mason Isbell led the Gators with four points for the game, followed by Colson Kelley with two points.

With the loss, the Gators moved to 1-4 on the season.

They will next play Monday at Coffee County Middle School. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
