FC Middle Rebelettes tie Warren County to end regular season

The Franklin County Middle Rebelettes played the Warren County Lady Pioneers to a 1-1 draw on the road Friday for their first tie of the season.

One goal was scored in each half as the Rebelettes took an early lead before the Lady Pioneers answered back after the halftime break.

Keren Quintanilla scored the lone goal of the day for the Rebelettes as she received a pass from Payton Dearing and fired a shot into the net for her first goal of the season.

They led 1-0 at halftime.

The Rebelettes weren’t able to hold onto their slight lead through the end of the game, however, as the Lady Pioneers found an equalizer in the second half.

Neither team was able to score again in the time remaining as the contest ended in a draw.

With the tie, the Rebelettes moved to 7-3-1 on the season.

They will next play Wednesday at Tullahoma Middle School in a semifinal game for the Central Tennessee Conference tournament. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
