Rebel golfers host Coffee County, Lincoln County at Bear Trace

The Franklin County High School boys and girls golf teams competed in a nine-hole match Tuesday at the Bear Trace at Tims Ford against the teams of Coffee County and Lincoln County.

The Rebel golfers narrowly finished in second place for the boys standings as their total score of 172 put them just one stroke behind Coffee County for the top spot. The Lincoln County Falcons ended the day with a team score of 202 to take third place.

Jackson Lynch led all individuals with a score of 39 for the match to help the overall effort for the Rebels.

Chase Towry followed close behind with a score of 41 to finish third among the individual boys.

Garrett Patterson was the next in line for the Rebels with a score of 44, and Evan Lynch rounded out the scoring effort with a mark of 48 for the match.

The remaining golfers for the Rebels and their scores for the day were Brady Hall, 49; Brody Metcalf, 50; and Easton Walker, 57.

On the girls side, the Rebelettes took third place for the match with a score of 105 with Lincoln County finishing first with a mark of 92 and Coffee County following with a score of 95.

Franklin County’s Amelia Maxon finished tied for second among the girls in the match with a score of 44.

Savana Pendergraff followed with a score of 61 to round out the performances for the Rebelettes on the day.

The FCHS boys and girls golf teams will next compete on Sept. 6 in a nine-hole match at the Pebble Creek Golf Club against Lincoln County High School. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
