Hornets golfers face Eagleville, Moore County at Bear Trace

The Huntland High School boys golf team competed in a nine-hole match Tuesday at the Bear Trace at Tims Ford against the teams of Eagleville and Moore County.

The Hornets golfers finished third as a team for the match with their score of 209 putting them nine strokes behind Moore County and well behind Eagleville’s combined score of 152 for the match.

Lucas Freeman led the effort for the Hornets as he ended the match with a season-best score of 44.

Landon Farmer followed with a score of 52, and Kamden Smith carded a score of 55 to contribute to the final total for Huntland.

Chandler Banks rounded out the scoring for the Hornets after completing the course in 58 strokes.

The Hornet golfers will next compete Tuesday at the Bear Trace at Tims Ford in a nine-hole match against Community High School and Moore County. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
