Franklin County head soccer coach Kent Bean said he was proud of his team for staying in the game after falling behind early and keeping a level head in the physical contest.
“The Franklin County men showed a lot of class and kept their focus on the game,” he said. “It paid off in the end.”
The Wildcats struck for their lone goal early in the first half and were able to stay in front for most of the period.

The score was tied at 1-1 at halftime.
The tie would be broken midway through the second half as Hernandez found Cason Eslick between defenders, and Eslick buried a shot in the back of the net for his sixth goal of the year.
Franklin County’s defense held onto the lead for the rest of the day to seal the win by one.
With the win, Franklin County improved to 9-3 on the season.
