Reed receives nod as new Gators football coach
Chuck Reed has been named the new head coach of the North Middle School football Gators, according to a press release sent out by the school Thursday.
Reed and his family have strong roots in Franklin County dating back more than 30 years, the press release said.
Reed has been a coach at various levels ranging from Pee Wee football to the high-school level since 2005, according to the press release.
His accomplishments including helping the Gators to two Central Tennessee Conference championships while with the team as the offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator.
Reed will be succeeding Will Hyden as the head coach after Hyden coached the Gators in 2021 and 2022.
The press release said that Reed is striving to build a powerful football program in Franklin County alongside new Franklin County High head football coach Tracy Hayworth.
The Gators will play their first season with Reed as the head coach starting in August.
