Knights of Columbus donate to Good Samaritan Ministries
Grand Knight David Ryan, left, presents a check for $1,600 to Cathy Marzec, a volunteer at Good Samaritan Ministries of Franklin County, on behalf of the local chapter of the Knights of Columbus. The State of Tennessee Knight of Columbus provided an additional $500 matching funds for the local Knights’ 40 Cans for Lent campaign, which is included in the $1,600 donation. The Knights of Columbus thanked everyone who made their recent spaghetti dinner a success. Thanks to the generous support, the Knights were able to donate more than $2,700 to local charities. Good Samaritan Ministries of Franklin County, 1725 Decherd Blvd., Decherd, is supported by three dozen area churches, civic organizations, charitable foundations and individual benefactors. They provide emergency food, clothing, baby supplies, utilities and other services to neighbors in need. -Photo provided
