The Aquatics Department for the City of Winchester’s Parks and Recreation Department will hold lifeguard training this spring at the Winchester Swimplex.

To be eligible for registration, candidates must meet the following pre-test requirements: be 15 years or older at the time of the class; be able to swim 300 yards in either a forward crawl or a breaststroke; be able to tread water for two minutes; and be able to pass a timed retrieval swim. Call 931-962-4204 to set up a time for a pretest.

After completion of the pretest, candidates may register for classes that will be held March 13-18.  Class registration closes on March 11.

Those wishing to apply may also register at the Swimplex, 251 Old Estill Springs Road, Winchester. Be sure to provide a valid, current email address for the the online portion of the class.
