North track qualifies 10 for sectionals

The North Middle School boys and girls track and field teams competed in their sub-sectional meet Friday and Saturday at Riverdale High School.
The top four finishers in each event received berths to the Section 3AA meet with 10 North athletes meeting this qualifying standard across seven events.
In the team standings, the North Gatorettes finished second out of 14 teams with 64 points for the day. They only finished behind Blackman’s 82 points for the top spot.
The Gators placed 10th out of 15 teams for the two-day meet with 23.5 points while Blackman also took first in the boys rankings with 123 points.
