Bonnaroo kicks off four-day festival Thursday

Starting Thursday, Manchester will again welcome thousands of music fans down to the 650-acre “Farm” for the annual four-day Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.

The festival will run today through Sunday with popular musical performers Kendrick Lamar, Odesza, Foo Fighters, Zeds Dead, Lil Nas X, Paramore, Baby Keem and Tyler Childers headlining the stages along with many others.

Since its beginning in 2002, the four-day, multi-stage event continues to be one of the most popular live music festivals in the country, attracting tens of thousands of attendees. Bonnaroo officials expect about 70,000 paid patrons to attend this year’s festival.

Traffic on I-24 will be heavier than usual, but with traffic plans in place, travelers should have few problems getting past the festival-goers. TDOT help units will assist with traffic management during the festival and aid any motorists who require assistance.
