Local TABC agent receives MADD statewide award
Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission Special Agent Curtis Francis from Winchester recently received the 2021 Mother Against Drunk Driving Underage Compliance Enforcement Award for his commitment to eliminating underage alcohol sales across Tennessee in support of Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s mission.
Francis received the annual award at the organization’s annual Night of Remembrance on June 8 at the Manchester Coffee County Conference Center.
Francis has been with the TABC since 2021.
During the annual statewide event, MADD Tennessee honored and remembered victims of substance-impaired driving and underage drinking and recognized law enforcement heroes for their commitment to protecting Tennesseans from such crimes.
MADD also gave special recognition to community partners and volunteers for outstanding efforts to support the mission of MADD. Annual awards for both 2021 and 2022 were given at the event.
TABC Chief Law Enforcement Officer Bond Tubbs paid tribute to Francis for his commitment to the cause.
“Special Agent Francis has made a tremendous impact in protecting our communities through enforcement of state underage-drinking laws,” Tubbs said. “Since he began with the agency in 2021, he has showed great leadership, and we are very proud of his work.”
The TABC conducts underage alcohol-compliance checks at every TABC-licensed establishment across Tennessee to detect and deter underage alcohol sales.
