Rebel golfers record team win versus Lincoln County

The Franklin County High School boys and girls golf teams competed in a nine-hole match Wednesday at the Bear Trace at Tims Ford against the teams of Lincoln County High School.
The Rebel golfers recorded a victory in the boys portion of the match with their total score of 186 giving them the edge over Lincoln County’s group score of 203.
Jackson Lynch led all individuals in the boys match with a score of 42 to help the overall effort for the Rebels.
Teammate Chase Towry placed second among the individuals in the boys standings with a mark of 45, and Brody Metcalf carded a score of 46 to finish tied for third.
Brady Hall shot a score of 48 for the day to round out the scoring portion of the match for the Rebels.
The remaining golfers for the Rebels and their scores for the day were Garrett Patterson, 51; Easton Walker, 51; Corbin Morris, 67; and Hayden Terry, 67.
The Rebelettes finished second for the day with a combined score of 114 while the Lincoln County Lady Falcons ended the match with a total score of 98.
Amelia Maxon recorded a score of 55 for Franklin County, and Savana Pendergraff followed with a mark of 59.
The FCHS boys and girls golf teams will next compete Tuesday in a nine-hole match at The Course at Sewanee against St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
