Hornet golfers host Moore County, Community at Bear Trace
The Huntland High School boys golf team competed in a nine-hole match Tuesday at the Bear Trace at Tims Ford against the teams Moore County and Community.
The Hornet golfers finished second out of the three teams in the match with a total score of 208 for the day. The Moore County Raiders finished first overall at 199 strokes, and the Community Vikings rounded out the team standings with a mark of 211.
Lucas Freeman had the top performance of the day for the Hornets as he ended the match with a score of 46.
Carson Riley was next up in the standings for Huntland as he carded a score of 52 for the day.
Kamden Smith and Maddux Riley both recorded scores of 55 for the match to round out the scoring for the Hornets.
The Hornet golfers will next compete Wednesday in a nine-hole match at the Henry Horton Golf Course against the teams of Eagleville and Moore County. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
