FC Middle Rebelettes take road loss to Harris
S
The Franklin County Middle Rebelettes lost to the Harris Eaglettes 3-1 on the road Wednesday for their third loss of the season.
The Rebelettes fell behind early and weren’t able to put up enough goals to rally back as they took a loss for the day.
FC Middle head soccer coach Matthew Parkerson said his team played a great game with Hennessy Valenzuela stepping up in a major way as the goalkeeper for the game with two other goalies for Franklin County missing the game due to injuries.
The Eaglettes scored two goals early in the day to quickly put the Rebelettes in a decent hole.
Hadley Jolley got the Rebelettes on the board later in the first half as she scored off an assist from Payton Dearing to make it a 2-1 game. It was the seventh goal of the season for Jolley.
The Rebelettes trailed 2-1 at halftime.
The Rebelettes kept up the pressure on the opposing goal throughout the second half, but they were unable to score again while the Eaglettes added one more goal to their tally to put the final deficit at two.
With the loss, the Rebelettes moved to 6-3 on the season.
They will next play Wednesday at home against Tullahoma Middle School. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
