Singing

The Dixie Sims Memorial Bluegrass and Gospel Singing will be held Saturday from 4-8 p.m. at Camp Rain, 626 Bennett Cemetery Road in Alto, featuring The Sims Family, The Agee Family, The Gardners and Boyett Sisters. Concessions will be available.

Oct. 2-7

Revival

Cowan Apostolic Church invites everyone to its 2023 Harvest Time Revival under the church’s pavilion on Oct. 2 through Oct. 7 with guest preacher Brother Wesley Ward. Different churches will front the service each night. Services will start at 7 p.m. from Oct. 2-6 and at 5 p.m. on Oct. 7.

Oct. 8

Blessing of the animals

Everyone is invited to bring their cats, dogs and other pets to a service for a blessing of the animals on Oct. 8 at 5 p.m. in the courtyard at Trinity Episcopal Church, 213 First Avenue NW in Winchester.

Oct. 15

Singing

Everyone is invited to a singing on Oct. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Huntland Missionary Baptist Church, 306 Alabama St., Huntland, featuring the bluegrass group Mark Askew and Friends. A fellowship meal will follow.

Oct. 28

Master illusionist

Everyone is invited to see master illusionist and evangelist Matt Adams on Oct. 28 from 6-7 p.m. at Winchester First Baptist Church, 108 South High St., Winchester. A drawing for door prizes will be held. See mattadamsministries.com.
