COKER, Brenda
Faye, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, at her home in Winchester, TN, at the age of 86. She was born on March 21, 1940, in McMinnville, Tennessee, to Terrell Suddarth and Minnie Pearl Woods Suddarth. In 1956, she married her late husband, James “Tube” Coker, and had three sons, Teddy, Timmy and Tony. Brenda or Nanny, as she was called by most, owned Cowan Café and in her later years served by working at Oaklawn Baptist Church’s thrift store. She loved to cook, serve others, travel, and most importantly, she loved her family and Jesus. She was a devout Christian woman and spent her spare time showing the love of Jesus by baking for shut-ins and widows diligently each week. Her love and kindness will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Terrell and Minnie Suddarth; brother, Roy Suddarth; sons, Teddy and Timmy Coker; and grandson, Mikie Champion. She is survived by her son, Tony Coker; brother, Victor Suddarth, daughterin- law, Lynda Coker; grandchildren, Sarah (Kenneth) Hall, Tony Coker Jr., Amy Coker, Nathan (Amanda) Coker and Kaleb Coker; greatgrandchildren, Katelin Reed, Jacob Ferrell, Maddie Coker and Kallie Grace Coker; along with many special family members and sweet friends. Visitation will be on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
